About AdMet-2023
Undeniably, Metrology is the central point of science, technology, engineering and medicine that could alter the global order and accelerate the national growth. Health, commercial prosperity, quality of life and protection of the environment rely on metrology which also influence the consumer, trader, industry, regulator, policy makers and international confidence. Therefore, during the Amrit Kaal of the country, serious thoughts and actions on ground are required to reinforce the national metrological system which would lubricate the engine of the economy. Metrology Society of India (MSI) is keenly engaged in the scientific manoeuvring of national measurement system since 1984 and organises national/international conferences to disseminate recent advances in metrology with the sole objective of national growth. In this series, the 8th National Conference on "Advances in Metrology" (AdMet-2023) is being organized at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, Mumbai during March 23-25, 2023. Peaceful application of radiation covering wide spectrum of benefits in health care, agriculture, industries and other sectors for improvement of the ecosystem and quality of life. Considering the present and future growth of societal applications of radiation, a pre-conference workshop on "Radiation Metrology for Nuclear Medicine & Industries" is being organized on March 23, 2023 for the benefit of the participants.
